✳ AN INDEPENDENT AI LAB · MAURITANIA
RAMZ AI is an independent AI research and product lab in Mauritania. Our research agenda covers speech recognition, retrieval, tool use and efficient inference, with Hassaniya transcription as the first technical focus.
RESEARCH APPROACH
Hassaniya speech recognition raises specific questions about training data, transcription conventions, code-switching and evaluation. Our proposed approach starts with licensed recordings, reproducible baselines and error analysis before product integration.
Evaluate each language
and task separately.
02 / THE RESEARCH AGENDA
Four research areas, with a question and proposed outputs for each. Published results will distinguish methods, data permissions and limitations.
Research into transcription, speech generation and language understanding, beginning with Hassaniya and a broader multilingual agenda.
Research↗02Systems designed to make documents, recordings and organizational knowledge easier to find, understand and use.
Research↗03Assistants designed to work with tools, complete defined tasks and keep people in control—with evaluation built into the process.
Research↗04Work toward practical deployment options that balance quality, cost, connectivity and control over data.
Research↗03 / PRODUCT DIRECTIONS
Proposed products and their intended workflows. Each page describes scope, capabilities and current availability.
Turn speech into text, knowledge and useful actions.
Explore the concept ↗A future everyday assistant for learning, writing and getting things done.
Explore the concept ↗Find answers across documents and recordings, with a path back to the source.
Explore the concept ↗Developer interfaces for models, APIs and evaluation.
Explore Studio ↗04 / LANGUAGE ROADMAP
The research roadmap includes Hassaniya, Pulaar, Soninké and Wolof. Language names indicate intended scope, not validated model support.
Hassaniya is our first engineering focus. Support will be evaluated and published separately for each language and task.
Arabic and French are also included in the research roadmap.
Language specialists can contribute to evaluation criteria,
transcription guidance and error analysis.
05 / DEVELOPERS
Talk with us about your application and its speech, text and document processing requirements.
06 / ILLUSTRATIVE USE CASES
Transcribe an authorized recording, correct names and numbers, then produce a summary from the reviewed text.
Evaluate text and voice tasks separately for each language, including code-switching and regional variation.
Retrieve passages from approved documents and attach source references for a person to check.
07 / OUR ROADMAP
Define priorities, establish data permissions and design evaluations.
Test specific capabilities and understand where they fail.
Evaluate useful workflows with organizations and communities.
Open products and developer access when they are ready.
